Fifteen years ago, Karalee was like any other modern, professional career woman. Life revolved around her high-profile role as a TV news reporter for major Australian television networks.
Being a mother, let alone stepmother was the furthest thing from her mind. But when she met the love of her life, she soon realised he came with two children about to enter their teenage years.
Needless to say, it completely changed her life.
Fast forward 15 years, she is a mother of three school aged children and stepmother of two young adults.
While she considers her life a beautiful blended mix of ‘Seinfeld moments’ and the potential for having enough material to write her own comedy show, she has instead, taken the decision to help other people on their step parenting journey with a ‘reality’ book.
In Step Parenting with Purpose: Everything you wanted to know but were too afraid to ask Karalee shares her real experiences of entering the world of step parenting/ blended families and provides invaluable insights and advice to those beginning or already on their journey.
As well as being a mum and step-mum, Karalee is a sought-after news and current affairs commentator on television (Sky News Australia), Macquarie Radio (6PR Perth); and columnist for (The Spectator Australia), and a senior executive media trainer.
When she gets some free time, you will find her swimming laps in the pool or ocean, cooking, reading, writing or walking around the local neighbourhood.
Karalee holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and History (UWA 1993) and a Post Graduate Diploma of Education (UWA 1994).
